Mission Statement

The Wellborn Community Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to provide for the mutual welfare of the residents of Wellborn and its surrounding areas, to enhance community life by being attuned to the needs of the less fortunate members of the community, and to care for their social, economic and physical needs as means permit. Funds raised also support a community association building where functions are held to enhance the social spirit of the community.

Our building is available for business meetings, group meetings, children’s parties, holiday, birthday or retirement parties, or family reunions. Kitchen facilities are included. Contact Mayso Martin at 386-965-4253.

Our main function and fundraiser each year is the Wellborn Blueberry Festival, held the first Saturday in June on the community center grounds in downtown Wellborn. Next year’s Festival, the 25th Annual, will be held on June 2, 2018. Enjoy arts & crafts and food vendors, the country store, a car show, a parade, kids’ games and amusements for no admission fee. Featured items are fresh blueberries and blueberry bushes, blueberry pies, cobbler, ice cream, jelly, syrup, and (of course) our famous blueberry pancake breakfast. The WCA is an all-volunteer association and the members work very hard all year long to put on the Festival. Membership is free and open to all residents of Wellborn and its surrounding areas. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the community center.
